Alyssa Dunfee: Education, Personalization, & Fun in Business Development
Strategic PM sat down with business development manager Alyssa Dunfee to discuss personalizing business, educational follow-ups, and making business development fun.
Alyssa Dunfee had an unusual start to her property management career, one that essentially began with a nudge from her boss.
After she helped to set up a medical billing branch for a debt collection agency, Alyssa’s then-boss saw an open spot with Bridges Realty and, knowing Alyssa’s interest in real estate, pushed her to do it.
“This is for you,” she said. “You have to go do it.” And she was right.
Fast-forward two years, there’s been a merger, and Bridges Realty becomes Keyway Property Management, the largest brokerage in Augusta, GA, with a door count of about 1,300.
Translation: Alyssa’s business development career has exploded.
“With [the merger] came a lot of agents,” she says. “All agent relations come through me. We’ve had just a lot more business, and being able to turn that business into actual doors has been keeping my hands full.”
Augusta, GA is home to 13 military bases. As a result, about 75% of Keyway’s business is working with accidental landlords. The other 25% are investors.
“I like investors just the same,” says Alyssa, “ but there’s something about taking an accidental landlord and turning them into an investor. That’s where I take the most pride.”

Business Development Manager
Hey Howdy Hey!
I’m Alyssa, the Business Development Manager at Keyway Property Management, where my focus is on uncomplicating the rental game for owners and tenants alike.
I began my journey in sales two years ago with Bridges Realty, and during that time, I’ve had the privilege of helping our company scale and navigate a major merger with the largest brokerage in our area. With the leverage of now being the largest single-family property management company in Augusta, along with my real estate license, a degree in business and financial management, and a background in paralegal studies, I bring a well-rounded skill set that lets me serve clients with clarity and confidence.
My favorite part of this role is getting to know clients personally—fostering relationships and diving deep into their unique goals. Whether it’s matching new owners with our skilled property managers or guiding seasoned investors through market changes, I’m here to make property management as easy as possible.
I’m also a big believer in personal development; I take reading and learning seriously, knowing that my growth fuels the growth of Keyway. I have a heart for hospitality and a love for running, hiking, concert-going, and camping. Staying active, in touch, and always learning keeps me motivated, focused, and ready to tackle any challenge in the ever-evolving world of property management.
Give me a shout if you’re ever down south! 706-553-7911
